Calegix Networks is the practice of Nathaniel Jackson, an infrastructure and AI services business in Escondido, California. This policy explains what information this site and our services collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: your data stays on hardware we run, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.
What we collect
- Newsletter signups: your email address, plus engagement data from the letters we send (whether a message was opened and which links were clicked, measured with a standard tracking pixel and first-party cookies).
- Contact details: whatever you send us when you email hello@calegix.com or call, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message.
- Site analytics: pages visited, referring page, browser and device type, and approximate region, collected by Matomo, an analytics tool we host ourselves. Analytics data never leaves our servers.
- Member accounts: if you are given a login, we store your name, email address, and sign-in records in our self-hosted identity system.
- Voice calls: if you call us, we log standard call records (number, time, duration). Calls may be answered or transcribed by automated systems, and a call will only be recorded after you are told so on that call.
How we use it
To respond when you contact us, to deliver the newsletter you asked for, to understand how the site is used, to operate member services, and to run our business. That is the whole list. We do not use your information for advertising networks, and we do not build profiles of you across other websites.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. The limited categories of third parties that may process data in the course of delivering service are: telecommunications carriers that route calls and text messages, and payment processors if you pay us. Each receives only what is necessary to provide that service.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Text messages
If you opt in to text messages from Calegix Networks, message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of purchase, and as stated above, your opt-in information is not shared with anyone.
Every marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes a single click, works for at least 30 days after the message is sent, and is honored within 10 business days, usually immediately. We never charge for it or ask for anything beyond your email address.
Cookies, analytics, and Do Not Track
This site uses first-party cookies for analytics (Matomo) and for newsletter engagement (Mautic), both self-hosted by us. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking services, and we do not permit other parties to collect information about your activity over time and across other websites through this site. Because we do not perform cross-site tracking, the site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
California privacy rights
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and Calegix Networks does not currently meet the CCPA's applicability thresholds. We honor the spirit of the law anyway: you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, regardless of where you live.
Your choices
Email hello@calegix.com to review, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. We will confirm within 10 business days. Deleting newsletter data means you stop hearing from us; deleting account data may end access to member services.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above, then delete it. Everything described here lives on servers we own and administer, with encryption in transit, single sign-on, and least-privilege access. No third-party cloud provider holds your data.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update it here, change the effective date at the top, and note the change in the newsletter. The current version is always at calegix.com/pages/privacy.
